Infinite Plastic Internal-Tongues of Fire/YoLC
I tried to share the link to this tune from mid 2011 with a fellow musician, and he alerted me that the link was down. Therefore, re-posting it in a totally new spot. Hopefully it will work this time!
Thanks, Joe!

Cloud Shepherd, Luna's Cafe, Sacramento, CA 1/16/12
Cloud Shepherd had the honor of playing with ass-kicking Jazz band Lol Catz. What a great band they are! They played a long-form summation of pretty much all historical Jazz styles, from Ellington to Monk to Braxton to Ulmer. Humbling to play with such a talented group.
Cloud Shepherd played two pieces. The feel was a bit more subdued than previous gigs. I'll chalk that up to a lazy Monday night vibe at Luna's. Still, it was a fun gig.

Below: Andrew contemplates Sacramento nightlife.
On the drive home, Joe and I talked a lot about Modernism.

Old Million Eye vs. Infinite Plastic Internal, 1/15/12, the Lab, SF
As expected, Brian Lucas (Old Million Eye) and myself (Infinite Plastic Internal) had a great time playing the Lab, under the auspices of Grux's Godwaffle Noise Pancakes series. The laid back, unpretentious vibe of S.F.'s noise/improvised scene suites us just fine. We played one short, twenty minute piece that seemed to have a pretty good climax. It's so great to be exposed to cool bands and people doing creative, exciting stuff, of whom there were many others. Humbling, for sure, and inspiring, to boot. Grux makes one hell of a waffle, too.
Above: Old Million Eye sorts out his pedals. Note hand-painted signage by Grux! Yeah!

Mark Pino with As the Crow Flies
Brian Strang is a professor at S.F. State, and a scholar of the Blues. He makes music with Andrew Joron, my theremin-playing buddy from Cloud Shepherd. Recently, they've let me jam with them. Here are a few choice cuts, picked, and edited slightly, by Brian.
