Crow Crash Radio, Actual Cafe; Oakland, CA 9/28/12

Last night Crow Crash Radio played at the lovely Actual Cafe in Oakland. Located on San Pablo Ave., near Berkeley, Actual Cafe is a fun, funky little joint. It seemed like they had a "cast of characters", local residents who hang out there a lot. It reminded me of similar places from my youth. Crow Crash played a nice, long, loping set of our Raga-billy Blues.

Crow Crash Radio Wedding gig, 9/1/12

Crow Crash Radio had the honor of playing at the  reception portion of a wedding yesterday, at the Acqua Hotel, overlooking Pickleweed Inlet on Richardson Bay. While I can't really claim Crow Crash Radio to be the ideal reception band (we could never play requests), we had fun and were, if not hostilely received, tolerated and perhaps appreciated by a few.

I had a particularly good time watching the fog from the Pacific as it rolled over the hill of Muir Woods and into Mill Valley, as Andrew gesticulated at his theremin. Priceless.
